The HDL-1B Cable Fault Locator, when used with the HDM series cable fault locating power supply, has three main applications:

• Use the acoustic-magnetic measurement method to precisely locate high-resistance cable faults


• Use the magnetic field measurement method to precisely locate metallic cable faults (dead grounds)


• Trace the cable path

Technical Specifications

• Acoustic-magnetic measurement method precision: 10% of cable depth


• Path locating precision:           10% of cable depth, e.g., if the cable is buried at a depth of 1m, the locating deviation is less than 10cm


• Magnetic field measurement method precision: 50% of cable depth


• Powered by a 7.2V/4.4Ah lithium battery, continuous operation time of 10 hours after charging
