From the Sichuan Basin to the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, from Tarim to Ordos, a race against time for "gas" is underway. As the main force of winter supply, CNPC's domestic natural gas production has attracted much attention. In 2017, CNPC's natural gas production exceeded 100 billion cubic meters, accounting for 70.1% of domestic natural gas production, providing solid support for winter supply. In the face of a shortage of drilling rigs, special coordination was made to solve the rig issues in key areas for natural gas production increase, ensuring that natural gas production strictly follows the plan. At the same time, CNPC plans to fully carry out winter drilling and fracturing operations to accelerate stable production and increase output. In terms of domestic resources, CNPC has continuously increased exploration and development efforts in the main gas areas of Changqing, Tarim, Southwest, and Qinghai, enhancing production capacity construction goals. Changqing Oilfield undertakes the supply guarantee task for nearly a hundred large and medium-sized cities in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, benefiting over 400 million people. At the beginning of this year, facing the challenge of difficult management and control, a全员 competition craze was sparked. Since early August, three high-yield wells with daily production exceeding one million cubic meters have been successively obtained. Facing the winter natural gas supply demand, Tarim Oilfield, while focusing on increasing production from new wells, has been investigating the reasons for shut-in wells one by one and identifying a batch of old wells with development potential. This year's annual production is expected to increase by 1 billion cubic meters to 26.2 billion cubic meters, providing reliable support for the West-East Gas Pipeline and the gas use of five prefectures in southern Xinjiang.
