The DC resistance of a transformer is a mandatory test item in transformer manufacturing for semi-finished products, finished product factory tests, installation, major repairs, after changing tap changers, handover tests, and preventive tests by power departments. It can check the welding quality of winding joints and whether there are inter-turn short circuits in the windings, detect whether the contacts at various positions of the voltage tap changer are in good condition and whether the actual position of the tap changer matches the indicated position, whether the lead wires are broken, and whether multi-strand parallel windings have broken strands.
