Product Introduction:

SLQ AC/DC High Current Generator User Manual

I. Overview:

The SLQ series high current generatoris specially designed and manufactured for electrical equipment tests in power departments and industrial/mining enterprises, such as current load tests and temperature rise tests on various switches, current transformers, and other electrical equipment.
This series of products adopts split/integrated structure depending on product volume and weight, featuring stepless output current adjustment, balanced current rise, wide load variation range, reliable operation, simple operation, and safety. It is an ideal equipment for current rise or temperature rise tests in industrial and mining enterprises.

II. Main Technical Parameters:

III. Operating Environment:
1, Working Power Supply: 220V/380V ±10% 50HZ
2, Ambient Temperature: —10℃—40℃
3, The product should be placed in an environment free from gases, vapors, chemical dust, dirt, and other media that seriously affect transformer insulation.

IV. Working Principle:
After connecting the working power supply, this series of products adjusts the output voltage of the voltage regulator to obtain the required high current for testing. The working principle diagram is as follows:
 V. Usage Methods and Precautions:
1, Connect the working circuit according to the electrical schematic diagram. The transformer casing and operation console must be properly grounded.
2, Connect the power supply, and the green indicator light on the operation console will illuminate. Press the start button, and the red indicator light will illuminate, at which point the current generator is ready for current rise.
3, Rotate the voltage regulator evenly clockwise, paying attention to the output current indication on the operation console until the required high current is reached. To ensure testing accuracy, a standard ammeter can be connected in series on the instrument terminals.
4, During the test, if any abnormal phenomenon is found, immediately cut off the power supply, investigate the cause, and then proceed with the test.
5, After the test, the voltage regulator must be returned to zero, press the stop button to cut off the power supply, and then disconnect the working power supply before removing the test wiring to ensure safety.

VI. Precautions:
1, This equipment is designed for short-term operation, so it is not allowed to operate at rated capacity for extended periods, especially not exceeding the rated current, to prevent overheating. The time limits are as follows:
2, For newly installed transformers or those not used for a long time, measure the insulation resistance between coils and between coils and ground using a 1500 megohm meter before operation. Only when the resistance value is not less than 0.5 megohm can it be used.
3, During use, the current transformer and operation console must be reliably grounded to ensure safety.
4, When in use, the current should be increased slowly and evenly, and avoid excessive vibration during handling.
5, The contact surface between the voltage regulator and the brush should be kept clean. If necessary, wipe it clean with cotton yarn dipped in 90% alcohol.
6, This equipment should be stored indoors in a clean, ventilated, and dry place.
