III. Operating Environment:
1. Working Power Supply: 380V ±10% 50HZ
2. Ambient Temperature: —10℃~40℃
3. The product should be placed in a place without gases, vapors, chemical dust deposits, dirt, or other explosive media that seriously affect transformer insulation.
IV. Working Principle:
After connecting the working power supply, this series of products adjusts the output voltage of the voltage regulator to obtain the required high current for testing. The working principle diagram is as follows:
V. Control Panel:
1. Power Indicator Light: After connecting the power supply, turn on the air switch, and the power indicator light will be on.
2. Current Rise ↑ Indicator Light: Press current rise ↑, when the voltage regulator boosts voltage, this current rise ↑ indicator light will be on.
3. Current Drop ↓ Indicator Light: Press current drop ↓, when the voltage regulator reduces voltage, this current drop ↓ indicator light will be on.
4. Zero Position Indicator Light: Press the stop button, after the voltage regulator returns to zero, this indicator light will be on.
5. Working Indicator Light: Press the start button, the working indicator light will be on, indicating that the current booster is connected and current can be raised.
6. Start Button: After the power control is connected to the power supply, the internal voltage regulator automatically returns to zero. Only after the zero adjustment indicator light is on, can you press the start button, and the working indicator light will be on.
7. Range Conversion: When the test current is less than 1000A, the arrow of the range conversion switch points to 1000A. When the test current is between 1000A and 5000A, the arrow of the range conversion switch points to 5000A.
8. Stop Button: During the test, if abnormal conditions occur or the test needs to be terminated for other reasons, press this button.
VI. Usage Methods and Precautions:
1. In the current generator control cabinet: connect the output terminal to the input terminals a and x of the current booster; connect the instrument terminal in the control cabinet to the instrument measurement terminal of the current booster.
2. The transformer shell, operation console, and main unit must be properly grounded.
3. Open the air switch in the chassis, and the power indicator light will be on. The voltage regulator of the control console automatically adjusts to zero, the zero adjustment indicator light will be on, waiting for current rise. Set the test time (by time setting) and current (by rotating the current selection switch). Press the start button once, the working indicator light will be on, indicating that the current booster is connected to the control power supply, then press the current rise ↑ button to start raising current.
① The current starts from zero and rises, and closely pay attention to the indication of the measuring instrument and the condition of the tested object.
② This control console is semi-automatic control. After setting the test time (by time setting), open the air switch, first press the start button, then press the current rise button to the required current. It has functions such as manual current rise, current drop ↓, automatic timing, and automatic return to zero.
4. Rotate the voltage regulator evenly clockwise, pay attention to the output current indication on the operation console until the required high current is reached. To ensure test accuracy, a standard ammeter can be connected in series at the instrument terminals.
5. During the test, once abnormal phenomena are found, immediately cut off the power supply, find out the cause, and then conduct the test again.
6. After the test, the voltage regulator must be returned to zero, press the stop button to cut off the power supply, cut off the working power supply, and then remove the test wiring to ensure safety.
VII. Precautions:
1. This equipment is designed for short-term or long-term work. The working time is determined by the percentage of the required current to the rated current (capacity). It is especially not allowed to run for a long time exceeding 200% of the rated current to prevent overheating. The time is as follows:
Load Duty Cycle % Maximum Allowable Working Time (seconds) Three-Phase Current Error
200 300 10%
150 500 10%
100 Continuous 10%
Note: Since this equipment works under high current conditions, the impedance and geometric shape of the load are required to be the same, otherwise the three-phase current error will be large.
2. For newly installed transformers and those not used for a long time, before operation, use a 1500 megohm meter to measure the insulation resistance between coils and between coils and ground. Only when the resistance value is not lower than 0.5 megohm can it be used.
3. During use, the current booster transformer and the operation console must be reliably grounded to ensure safety.
4. When using, raise the current slowly and evenly, and avoid excessive vibration during handling.
5. The contact surface between the voltage regulator and the carbon brush should be kept clean. If necessary, wipe it clean with cotton yarn dipped in 90% alcohol.
6. This equipment should be stored in a clean, ventilated, dry, and indoor place.
