GHPD901 Reactor Ultrasonic Partial Discharge Tester Functional Features

1. Functions

(1) Non-contact scanning of running transformers, GIS and other high-voltage primary equipment to detect and locate external discharges;

(2) Live scanning of open equipment in substations (reactors, disconnectors, cables) to detect and locate various discharges (corona, arcing, flashover, tracking, broken conductors, arcing, etc.);

(3) Scanning of running high-voltage switchgear cabinets to detect and locate faults such as partial discharges and loose screws;

(4) Detecting and locating insulator discharges on towers, tracking on exposed cable terminations, and partial discharges in underground cables;

(5) In handover and preventive tests of power systems, and in partial discharge tests of main transformers and GIS, this device is used in conjunction with a partial discharge detector. If partial discharge occurs, it can distinguish between internal and external discharges; if external, it can locate the specific discharge point;

(6) In factory tests of large oil-immersed transformers and GIS manufacturers, this device is used with a partial discharge detector during PD tests. If discharge occurs, the PD detector screen cannot show whether it is internal or external. Using the handheld patrol locator for scanning can quickly detect and locate external discharges; if no external discharge is found, it is judged as internal. For factory PD tests of dry-type transformers, using this device with a PD tester can quickly distinguish between internal and external discharges. Additionally, scanning live dry-type transformers can accurately and quickly detect and locate both internal and external discharges;

(7) Mechanical faults in large machinery bearings due to poor lubrication can be detected and located with this device;

(8) Leak detection for high-pressure sealed gases and liquids;
