The power switch is located between the body and the head. Rotate it 90 degrees in any direction; a "click" sound indicates the power is on, and rotating it back turns it off. Before use, insert the grounding wire at the tail. After turning on the power, the green light will be on. When the red light is on (about 3-5 seconds), you can test the lightning counter through the head's telescopic conductive rod (which can be pulled out before powering on according to the counter's installation height). You can test repeatedly without turning off the power (the conductive rod should be away from the test object each time it charges).
