The YTC640 Intelligent Conductivity Salt Density Tester is developed for anti-pollution flashover detection in power systems,a dedicated measuring instrument for measuring the equivalent salt deposit density (ESDD) on insulator surfaces, and can also measure the conductivity and temperature of solutions. With its high measurement accuracy, intuitive readings, wide measurement range, and ease of use, the instrument is widely applied in electric power, education, scientific research, and other related industries.

The classification of pollution levels and the drawing of pollution level distribution maps are the foundation of anti-pollution flashover work. An accurate pollution level distribution map is the basis for selecting the creepage distance of external insulation of electrical porcelain for transmission and transformation equipment. The equivalent salt deposit density on insulator surfaces is quantitative data for judging the severity of external insulation pollution of electrical porcelain, and is one of the important bases for classifying pollution levels and drawing pollution area maps. Therefore, salt density measurement is of great significance to the safe operation of power systems.
