Southeast Net News To eliminate defects in substation cable trenches and ensure the safe, stable, and orderly operation of the power grid in summer, Yanping Power Supply Company recently organized personnel to carry out safety hazard inspections in substations, focusing on fire prevention, waterproofing, and prevention of small animal intrusion. It is understood that cable temperatures generally rise, and with increased small animal activity in summer, the safe operation of cables faces severe challenges. To conduct thorough hazard inspections of cable trenches in the jurisdiction, the company formulated a detailed work plan in advance, reasonably arranged staff, designated work leaders and full-time supervisors, and clarified the responsibilities of personnel at all levels. During the inspections, they carefully checked for water accumulation in cable trenches, the integrity of hole sealing, the condition of firewalls, and any traces of small animal activity. In addition, substation operation and maintenance personnel used infrared thermal imaging thermometers to measure temperatures at cable heads and equipment joints, so as to promptly detect and eliminate equipment operation defects and prevent summer power supply equipment from "overheating." Through these safety hazard inspections for fire, water, and animal prevention in cable trenches, the real-time operation status of power grid equipment can be understood, further enhancing staff awareness of production safety. In the next stage, Yanping Power Supply Company will continue to intensify efforts in investigating and rectifying equipment hazards, carefully diagnosing and addressing issues, to provide strong support for the safe and stable operation of power grid equipment under high temperature and high load conditions.
