DC High Voltage GeneratorHow to Use

   1. Equipment connection: With the power off, use the provided cables to connect the control box to the voltage doubling cylinder correspondingly, then connect the ground wire, and then plug in the power cord. Note: All ground wires of the control box, voltage doubling cylinder, discharge rod, etc. must be connected together to the ground of the test object, and must not be connected in series with each other.

   2. No-load test to check equipment integrity: Before starting the test,
the DC high voltage generatormust first undergo a no-load test to check the integrity of the equipment. After confirming the connections are correct, plug in the power socket, turn the adjustment knob counterclockwise to the end (the device has a zero-position protection function, and voltage increase must start from zero, otherwise it cannot be increased), press the power switch, the power indicator light turns on, wait a few seconds until the system stabilizes, then press the start button, at this time the high voltage indicator light turns on, indicating that voltage can be increased. Slowly turn the output voltage adjustment knob clockwise, at this timethe DC
high voltage generatoryou can see the voltage meter reading also rising slowly. Note: If the voltage meter reading does not change, you must immediately turn off the machine and check whether the connections are correct. If it is a equipment failure, please contact the manufacturer and do not open the instrument without authorization. After turning off, for safety, use a discharge rod to discharge the high voltage end of the voltage doubling cylinder before disconnecting wires.

   3. Shutdown: Generally, after the test is completed, before shutting down, you must first adjust the voltage to zero, then press the stop button, the working indicator light goes off, the power indicator light stays on, then turn off the power switch, unplug the power socket, and use the discharge rod to discharge.
If the above steps of the DC high voltage generatorare normal, it indicates that the instrument is intact and can be put into test. Note: The next startup must be at least one minute apart.

   4. Withstand voltage or leakage test on the test object: After verifying that the instrument is intact, install the water resistor, microammeter, and test object on the high voltage end of the voltage doubling cylinder. After checking that the connections are correct, you can proceed with the test according to the above voltage increase steps. This machine has overcurrent and overvoltage protection functions. If the high voltage indicator light suddenly goes out during the test and the high voltage reading on the meter disappears, it means the protection circuit has activated. Turn off the machine to check the cause of the protection, eliminate the fault, and then you can increase voltage again for the test. The voltage increase speed should not be too fast; it is advisable to increase at 3-5% of the test voltage value per second. For test objects with large capacitance, the current should not exceed 80% of the rated value.
