500A High Current Generator500A High Current Generator
Product Usage:
Adopting imported high-permeability magnetic materials, it is exquisitely designed with features of small size, strong electric dynamic resistance, and convenient use. This series of high current generators is essential equipment in various industries for electrical debugging where high current is required. It is suitable for current load tests and temperature rise tests of switches, current transformers, and other electrical equipment at a frequency of 50Hz. After power failure, tests can be continued without resetting to zero and adjusting again.
This series of products consists of an operation console and a current generator. It has features such as stepless output current adjustment, stable current rise, wide load variation range, reliable operation, and simple and safe operation. It can also serve as a current source equipment for current rise or temperature rise tests in industrial and mining enterprises. Equipped with a transformer, it can conveniently read the test current value.
Safety Precautions
1. Testing work must be carried out by at least two people.
2. The casings of TD and DDG must be grounded. Do not neglect safety measures to prevent personal accidents due to the low voltage of the transformer.
3. The wires from the secondary side of the current generator to the tested object should not be too long, and the cross-section should be sufficient (consider a current density of 6-8A/mm²). The contact surface should be cleaned (can be polished with fine gauze), otherwise, the joints may heat up, and the current may not reach the rated value.
4. Before work, check that the power supply (leads from TD to DDG) has sufficient capacity (DDG-2K and DDG-4K can be considered as 50A), otherwise, the power cord may heat up and the voltage drop may affect the normal operation of DDG.
5. The casings of both TD and DDG must be grounded to ensure personal safety.
6. There should be no flammable materials at the work site. For prolonged temperature rise tests, sufficient fire extinguishing equipment should be prepared.
7. For continuous (temperature rise) tests, someone should be on duty at the site, regularly check the heating condition of the current source equipment and wire joints, and make records. Due to fluctuations in the grid voltage, pay attention to adjusting the TD to maintain the rated test current.
8. Test work should comply with the relevant provisions of the electric power safety work regulations and formulate practical safety measures.
