2. When in use, the instrument's grounding terminal must be reliably grounded.
Turn on the power, the instrument first performs self-check
(Display screen, photoelectric communication, memory, operation keys, digital-to-analog conversion, grid frequency). After self-check passes, it enters the main menu.)
3. Only when the instrument power is turned off, or the test voltage selection switch is set to the "Off" position, is it considered safe to touch the rear of the instrument and its measurement cables and the test object.
4. During the test process, it is strictly prohibited to operate the "Test Voltage" selection switch.
After entering the measurement state, the user can exit the measurement state at any time by pressing the "Stop" key.
5. In normal connection method, the UH terminal outputs high voltage; in reverse connection method, the Cx terminal outputs high voltage.
6. When in use, first measure the insulation condition of the test object (generally measured with a megohmmeter, >1000 megohms).
7. Select the test voltage level according to the withstand voltage class of the test object. (Use the 10KV level when higher than 10KV)
8. The special insulated cables provided by our company can be used on the ground. However, when the capacitance is less than 1000 PF, the measurement cable on the high-voltage side should preferably be suspended to ensure test accuracy.
9. Do not replace fuse tubes that do not conform to the panel indicated values.
10. When using the instrument, do not arbitrarily replace the test cables provided by the manufacturer to ensure measurement accuracy.
Normal connection method: Before powering on, first set the "Test Voltage" switch to the "Off" position. Connect the UH terminal using the large iron clamp of the dedicated cable (marked UH) to the high-voltage end of the test object, and connect the Cx terminal using the core wire end of another dedicated cable (red, marked CX) to the low-voltage end of the test object's CX. Its shield wire end (black, marked E) should be grounded. If the low-voltage end of the test object has a shield terminal, use a wire to connect that terminal to "E" and then ground it. After powering on, press the "Normal Connection" key. Select the normal connection method: use the "Test Voltage" switch to select the voltage, then press the "Start" key to begin testing.
Reverse connection method: Before powering on, first set the "Test Voltage" switch to the "Off" position, ground the UH terminal, and connect the core wire of Cx (marked CX) to the high-voltage end of the test object's CX. After powering on, press the "Reverse Connection" key to select the reverse connection method: use the "Test Voltage" switch to select the voltage, then press the "Start" key to begin testing.
Special attention: In reverse connection method, the shield "E" of the CX wire is at the same potential as Cx. E can be connected to the shield terminal of the high-voltage end of the test object. If there is no shield terminal, E must be left floating and absolutely must not be grounded! Otherwise, the output of the internal high-voltage transformer will short-circuit. The part from the CX clamp and E clamp to where the two wires cross must be at least 10 cm away from the grounding point to ensure that high voltage does not discharge to ground. To avoid damaging the instrument and ensure the safety of test personnel.
External high voltage method: (Cn is the external standard capacitor, CX is the test object.)
When the test voltage required for the test object is greater than 10KV or the capacitance of the test object is greater than 60000pF, external high voltage can be used for measurement, i.e., not using the internal high-voltage generator of the instrument, but connecting an external high-voltage device for measurement.
Note: When using the external high voltage method for measurement, the "Test Voltage" switch must be set to the "Off" position! Adjust the external voltage, then press the "Start" key to begin testing. (Note: The withstand voltage of the external standard capacitor must be greater than 30% of the external test voltage value.) After powering on, press the "External Connection" key to select the external connection mode, set the instrument's "Test Voltage" switch to the "Off" position! Select the capacitance of the external standard capacitor, then adjust the external voltage, and press the "Start" key to begin testing. During the process, it will display "Please turn off external high voltage!" and pause, waiting for manual shutdown of the external high voltage. After turning off the external high voltage (must be turned off), press the "Start" key again to complete the test. If the external high voltage is not turned off, the test results will not be accurate.
{Selection of external standard capacitor capacitance: In "External Connection" mode, pressing the "External Connection" key once will change the displayed external standard capacitor capacitance "XXXXpF". There are eight capacitance values to choose from (the last one is for factory debugging, invalid for users): 50pF, 100pF, 150pF, 200pF, 500pF, 1000pF, XXXpF, XXXpF.
Select the capacitance equal to that of the external standard capacitor. If the external capacitance used is special, you can ask the manufacturer to input that capacitance value into the instrument. If the selected external capacitance does not match the actual one, the measurement results will be affected.} This instrument has a Chinese LCD display with Chinese character prompts for various test information. After the test is completed, press the "Print" key to print the test results.
