Testing Principle

The high-voltage switch mechanical characteristic tester adopts the four-terminal connection method for loop resistance testing. In essence, it measures the dynamic resistance during the switching operation and can be used to test SF6 high-voltage circuit breakers with graphite contacts. The working principle of the dynamic resistance test channel is to apply a 10A constant current source to the two terminals of the graphite contacts of the circuit breaker. Through the other two test signal lines (voltage signals) connected to both ends of the circuit breaker, it measures the dynamic voltage variation waveform within 200mV during the operation of the graphite contacts. This determines the position of the metal contacts of the circuit breaker, and then infers the true and precise position of the graphite contacts based on the length of the graphite contacts.

Purpose

This instrument is suitable for mechanical characteristic testing of high-voltage switches such as low-oil, multi-oil, vacuum, and sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) types from both domestic and imported manufacturers. It is also suitable for time testing of electromagnetic action devices (such as contactors, relays, etc.), and comes with a built-in operating power supply.

Characteristics of the Tester

With the development of society, people have increasingly higher requirements for the safety and reliability of electricity use. Wuhan Zhongshi, high-voltage circuit breakers play a dual role of control and protection in the power system, and their performance directly affects the safe operation of the power system. Mechanical characteristic parameters are one of the important parameters for judging the performance of circuit breakers. High-voltage switch mechanical characteristic tester is designed based on the latest "High-voltage AC circuit breakers" GB1984-2003, and can accurately measure the mechanical dynamic characteristic parameters of various voltage levels of low-oil, multi-oil, vacuum, sulfur hexafluoride, and other high-voltage circuit breakers.
