Scope of Application

The basic functions of the battery comprehensive tester include: 1. Rapid detection of battery static parameters

1.1 Battery voltage detection (for lithium batteries already in protection state, it can automatically wake up) 1.2 Battery internal resistance detection 1.3 Battery chargeability detection    1.4 Battery dischargeability detection 1.5 Battery overcurrent detection (only for lithium batteries) 1.6 Battery short-circuit protection function detection (only for lithium batteries) 1.7 Battery internal identification resistor 1 (or thermistor) detection 1.8 Battery internal identification resistor 2 (or thermistor) detection 1.9 For the parts where the detected values can be measured, upper and lower limits can be set respectively for rapid screening. 1.10 For batteries with communication chips, communication code testing can be performed (currently only for DS2502 compatible chips)

2. Battery capacity detection: Based on the selected battery type, the number of batteries in series, and the battery capacity, the most suitable voltage and current are automatically selected to perform a complete charge and discharge test. During the discharge process, the actual capacity of the battery is calculated, providing a strong reference for battery performance evaluation.

3. Optional battery charging function: When this function is selected, the tester can be used as a multifunctional intelligent charger, capable of fast charging various types and combinations of rechargeable battery packs (up to 4 series lithium batteries, 12 series nickel-metal hydride batteries, and 6 series maintenance-free batteries). This greatly facilitates battery use and testing. While charging, it displays the charging time and the amount of charge already delivered (in mAH) in real time.

4. Optional battery discharge function: When this function is selected, the battery comprehensive tester can discharge a single battery individually. The tester also controls the discharge cutoff voltage, avoiding the common problem of over-discharge when using electronic loads or resistors. It is very convenient for factory testing of battery products, and the operation is simple: just select the battery type, voltage, and capacity to start the intelligent discharge program and safely discharge the battery.

5. Digital controlled current and voltage source function: When this function is selected, the instrument can be used as a precision digital DC power supply, with a maximum output of 10V and a maximum output of 2A. The output voltage and current limit can be directly set, making it convenient for special battery charging, testing, and powering other devices, expanding the instrument's scope of application.

6. Digital controlled electronic load function: When this function is selected, the instrument can be used as a precision electronic load, capable of operating in constant current, constant voltage, constant resistance, and constant power modes. In modes other than constant voltage, a cutoff voltage can also be set to facilitate battery discharge measurement. When the load voltage drops below the set cutoff voltage, the working current is automatically cut off to prevent deep discharge damage to the battery. In addition, the instrument can be used in other applications requiring an electronic load, such as charger testing and aging tests for switching power supplies.

7. Voltage and internal resistance meter function: When this function is selected, the instrument can be used as an ordinary 3.5-digit digital voltmeter and digital milliohm meter, continuously indicating the input voltage, battery internal resistance, and the two additional ID resistance values. It can directly replace a dedicated internal resistance meter for rapid battery screening and testing.
