Test Principle

The high voltage switch mechanical characteristic tester adopts the four-terminal connection method for loop resistance testing. It actually measures the dynamic resistance during the switching operation, and can be used to test SF6 high voltage circuit breakers with graphite contacts. The working principle of the dynamic resistance test channel is to load a 10A constant current source on the two terminals of the graphite contact of the circuit breaker, and through the other two test signal lines (voltage signals) connected to both ends of the circuit breaker, test the dynamic voltage change waveform within 200mV when the graphite contact operates, thereby determining the position of the metal contact of the circuit breaker, and then inferring the true and exact position of the graphite contact based on the length of the graphite contact.
