With the arrival of the cold winter, most residents turn on heating devices between 7 PM and 10 PM, reaching the peak period of residential electricity consumption. The power load increases sharply, posing a severe test for power supply equipment. To ensure the safe and reliable operation of power lines and equipment during winter, on December 14, the Transmission Management Office of Xingren Power Supply Bureau dispatched 5 employees to the 35kV Changbai Line and Dawan Line, which are at higher altitudes, to carry out temperature measurement and anti-icing work using thermometers. Once any icing that could affect line safety is detected, anti-icing and de-icing measures will be immediately initiated to ensure the safe operation of the power grid lines.

It is understood that since the beginning of December, the leadership of Xingren Power Supply Bureau has attached great importance to this issue, making careful arrangements and taking effective measures to strictly implement safety responsibilities. They have conducted a comprehensive survey to eliminate equipment defects and fully prepared for safety precautions. Taking the opportunity to strengthen power supply equipment safety and investigate hidden dangers, they have enhanced equipment operation and maintenance management. Combined with special activities for safety inspections and hidden danger investigation and treatment, they have started from strengthening equipment inspections, clarifying personnel responsibilities, improving emergency plans, and preparing spare parts, to do a good job in equipment cold protection and insulation in advance, preventing equipment failures caused by low temperatures, and improving equipment reliability during winter. They have further improved emergency repair plans and conducted emergency drills to enhance the power grid's emergency response capability. They have also strengthened the analysis of winter supply-demand balance and power balance, reasonably arranged operation modes, and done a good job in load forecasting and monitoring.
